Product description
You can feel the original texture of pottery
A three-inch deep plate from Kanamaru Kiln in Fukuoka Prefecture.
This piece was made on a kick wheel with the desire to create something that goes back to the origins of Oishiwara ware. The beautiful brush marks and the slightly tall vessel make it easy to use and very useful.

*Since these dishes are handmade, even if the pieces are the same shape, each one will be baked differently, including in terms of color.
Please note that there may be slight individual differences.

[Regarding the use of pottery and porcelain]
●If you rinse the pan with water before serving food on it, it will be less likely to absorb odors or oil.
After washing the dishes, be sure to dry them thoroughly before storing them.
If you are concerned about stains or odor transfer, one preventative measure is to seal the pores. Put the dishes in a pot with rice water or water mixed with wheat flour or potato starch, and boil over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes. Then turn off the heat and leave to cool. After that, rinse lightly and dry thoroughly.
●Not suitable for use in ovens. We do not recommend using microwaves or dishwashers.

*The color may look different from the actual color depending on the lighting and viewing environment of your computer. Please note.
*Please refer to the image taken of the product alone for the color of the product.

Kanamaru Kiln
With a desire to create something that goes back to the origins of Oishiwara ware, he creates his pottery on a kick wheel. He carefully and beautifully carves the porcelain using white clay, with flying planes and brush marks, techniques that have been passed down in Oishiwara.
It was founded in 1682 when a kiln was opened, and is the first pottery production area in the Chikuho region. It is characterized by unique geometric patterns expressed by brush marks, flying planes, comb painting, finger painting, flowing and uchikake. In the mid-Edo period, potters were invited from Onta village, now Hita City, Oita Prefecture, to teach the techniques of Oishiwara ware, so it is a parent-child relationship between ONTAYAKI.
