This bowl features intricately engraved tobi-kanna (plane-like) patterns. It is deep, making it a convenient size for serving rice bowls and side dishes.

[Regarding the use of pottery and porcelain]
●If you rinse the pan with water before serving food on it, it will be less likely to absorb odors or oil.
After washing the dishes, be sure to dry them thoroughly before storing them.
If you are concerned about stains or odor transfer, one preventative measure is to seal the pores. Put the dishes in a pot with rice water or water mixed with wheat flour or potato starch, and boil over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes. Then turn off the heat and leave to cool. After that, rinse lightly and dry thoroughly.
●Not suitable for use in ovens. We do not recommend using microwaves or dishwashers.

Harahiko kiln
Masakazu Kajiwara, who trained at the Oishiwara Pottery Kawasaki, opened the kiln in 1991. While valuing the traditional techniques of Oishiwara, he is proactive in incorporating new glazes and techniques. Since 2012, his son Daisuke Kajiwara has been working with him on pottery. Masakazu is skilled at delicate flying planes, and Daisuke creates highly designed pottery that fits into modern life.
