*As all items are made by hand, there are individual differences in shape, size, texture, and color. The charm of this product is that it is handmade, so please be aware of this before purchasing.
[Precautions when using pottery] We recommend sealing the pot before using it for the first time (soak it in rice water or flour dissolved in water overnight). Also, soak it in water before serving food. Please use it after passing it through. It prevents odor and oil from sticking. After washing the utensils, please dry them before storing them.
*All tableware is handmade, and even if the tableware is of the same shape, each item will be baked differently, including the way the pattern appears. Please note that there are some individual differences.
[Regarding the use of pottery and porcelain]
●If you rinse the pan with water before serving food on it, it will be less likely to absorb odors or oil.
After washing the dishes, be sure to dry them thoroughly before storing them.
If you are concerned about stains or odor transfer, one preventative measure is to seal the pores. Put the dishes in a pot with rice water or water mixed with wheat flour or potato starch, and boil over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes. Then turn off the heat and leave to cool. After that, rinse lightly and dry thoroughly.
●Do not use in ovens. We do not recommend using microwaves or dishwashers.
*The color may look different from the actual color depending on the lighting and viewing environment of your computer. Please note.
*Please refer to the image taken of the product alone for the color of the product.
Founded in 1992. In the early Showa period, our predecessor, Mr. Takashi Fukuma, was deeply impressed by the folk craft movement and began to produce Western tableware. Currently, the third generation, Rinji Fukuma, and his son, Yosuke, are working with their families to breathe new life into the tradition of Fushina ware. His works convey Mr. Fukuma's warm and unpretentious personality, and are loved by many people across generations.
