Product description
In the Nabeul atelier, skilled artisans carefully hand-weave each fouta using traditional looms that boast over 100 years of history. Mastering this ancient loom requires outstanding skill and perseverance, and it is a special item that has been made through a detailed and laborious process. It is available in a special color only at International Gallery BEAMS.
*Fouta: A traditional Tunisian 100% cotton fabric.
Originally used as towels in Tunisian hammams (bathhouses), they are thin yet durable and highly absorbent. They are versatile items that can be used not only as towels, but also as a sheet on the beach, wrapped around the body or waist as a pareo, and as a multi-purpose cover in the bedroom in summer.
