Confronting Godzilla, drawn by Kiyoshi Okawa
As part of the Godzilla art project "GODZILLA THE ART," which marks the 70th anniversary of Godzilla's birth in 2024, this work features an original illustration by artist Nori Okawa printed using 13 silkscreen prints.
Godzilla's dual nature as a symbol of fear and a beloved movie star is celebrated in its entirety through the rake, a lucky charm that shovels in good fortune.

■Okawa Ki
Born in Okayama Prefecture, currently living in Tokyo. Graduated from Tama Art University's Department of Graphic Design. Inspired by the hedonistic themes and techniques of ukiyo-e, his works are characterized by the contrast between inorganic forms and extreme details, and are full of emotion. He works on a wide range of artworks in various media, including advertising visuals, packaging, apparel and cover illustrations, and continues to actively exhibit his works both in Japan and overseas, including solo exhibitions.
