■ Minetaro Mochizuki
In 1984, he won the Kodansha Chiba Tetsuya Award for Outstanding Newcomer, and in 1985, he made his serial debut in Young Magazine with "Bataashi Kingyo."
His major works include "Bike Men," "Living Room," "Zashiki Onna," "Shark Skin Man and Peach-Armed Woman," "Dragon Head," "Manshuku," "Tokyo Kaido," "Chiisakobé," "Isle of Dogs," and "No Manga, No Life."
He won the 21st (1997) Kodansha Manga Award and the 4th (2000) Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize Manga Excellence Award for "Dragon Head." "Chiisakobē" won the Excellence Award in the Manga Division of the 17th (2013) Japan Media Arts Festival organized by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, the 2016 Best Asian Blu-ray Award from the Association of Blu-ray Critics (ACBD), and the Angoulême International Comics Festival Series Award (2017).
