HIGHWAY is a car accessory brand from Kagoshima founded by illustrator Okataoka and Shimizu of Judd. Inspired by the "flower vases" found in some foreign and older Japanese cars, these simple items are crafted from wood and porcelain. The idea behind the design is that admiring a flower doesn't make you want to speed up or honk the horn. The porcelain is made by ONE KILN, also made in Kagoshima. The wood is made by Koishi Wood Works. For stability, place the item between your air conditioner vent.

■ ONE KILN
One Kiln = A pottery workshop in Kagoshima that means "one kiln." He creates tableware using local materials, such as the ASH series, which uses Sakurajima's volcanic ash for glaze, and the CULTIVATE series, which he creates from the soil he digs himself.
