Ozaki dolls are pottery dolls that are said to have a history of over 700 years in the Ozaki Nishibun district of Kanzaki-cho, Saga Prefecture, and are the oldest and most traditional of all the ceramics in Saga Prefecture. These are traditional Saga toys that give you a sense of the warmth of the earth, and most of them are clay flutes.The simple sound of the flute has a melancholy feel to it, and it is still widely loved today. Currently, each piece is carefully made by the only artist, Mr. Takayasu of the Ozaki Doll Preservation Society.
