Works exhibited and sold at the Masumi Ishikawa exhibition "Deep World Travel" held in April 2017.
Using proverbs as his subject matter, he uses rich expressive power to satirize modern society and its people. The image of a knight unable to control his own mind, which has turned into a horse, perfectly expresses the title, ``Don't give rein to the pieces of your heart.''
The delicate brush strokes and bold color combinations created in the style of prints give the ukiyo-e, which has been passed down since the Edo period, a modern feel.
