This collection is inspired by the memories of the places illustrator norahi and WATANABE PILE director Arisa Watanabe saw while traveling together.
・FRUITS
The fruit she is holding is from that warm tropical region.
I ate lots of sweet and sour, juicy fruits for breakfast. (Taiwan)
・HORSE
A horse in a large park. It was walking leisurely in a large field without any restraints. (UK)
The dense pile arrangement, which can only be achieved by skilled craftsmen taking their time and effort to weave, creates an exceptional texture.
We used gray heathered yarn twisted from only high-quality San Joaquin cotton to create a deep look that looks great even when simply placed on the floor.
norahi × WATANABE PILE towels are also available.
Towels are here
●Precautions for use●
To maintain the texture for a long time, we recommend using a laundry net when washing.
[About the material]
Yarn name: San Joaquin (long staple cotton)
Origin: California, USA
The San Joaquin Valley in California, USA, is a region surrounded by mountains with little rainfall and a warm climate. Cotton is grown here using meltwater from the Sierra Nevada Mountains, a mountain range with an elevation of over 3,000 meters. The raw material, San Joaquin cotton, is a high-quality staple cotton with a fiber length of approximately 32 mm, and its high whiteness gives it a beautiful texture.
■ Watanabe Pile Textiles Co., Ltd.
"Making the most of the quality of the materials - this is how we make things."
For over 50 years since our founding, we have been working diligently on towels. We don't just make towels that are easy to weave, but towels that are comfortable to use. We create products that make the most of the quality of the materials. We understand the characteristics of cotton grown all over the world and select the cotton that is best suited to the towel we envision, and then select the most environmentally friendly processing methods for people, materials, and the various processes that go into making the towel.
We pay careful attention to each and every aspect of the cotton, thread, processing, weaving, and design to weave high-quality fabrics that retain their texture even with daily use.
We will continue to work with towels while cherishing the bonds with all the people involved.
