Born in Yamaguchi Prefecture in 1967. Graduated from the Department of Photography, Faculty of Art, Kyushu Sangyo University. Studied under photographer Nobuyoshi Araki since 1991. Since 1993, he has held many domestic and international photo exhibitions and photo books. He primarily takes nude photographs of men, capturing them in indoor spaces that have a mixture of tension and intimacy.
