This work follows one woman's childbirth process in 2008, based on a strong desire to photograph the moment a human being is born. It appeals to the viewer's heart about the birth of life not as knowledge but as a "fact."

■Atsushi Okada/Photographer/Doctor of Fine Arts
Born in Hokkaido in 1979. Photographer, Doctor of Arts. Recipients include the Hokkaido Cultural Encouragement Award, the 33rd Kimura Ihei Photography Award, and the Fuji Photo Salon Newcomer Award. Graduated from the Department of Photography, Faculty of Art, Osaka University of Arts, and obtained a doctoral degree (in art) from the doctoral program at the Graduate School of Art, Tokyo Polytechnic University. His main photo books include ``1999'', ``MOTHER'', ``Sekai'', ``ataraxia'', ``I am'', ``Cord'', and ``Platibe''. He is also an up-and-coming photographer who has received a lot of attention from overseas, having worked on the official guidebook for the movie "Norwegian Wood" (original story by Haruki Murakami). In addition, he continues to photograph the wild horses that inhabit Yururi Island on commission from Nemuro City, Hokkaido.

Key points: The photos are chronological, from labor to birth. Even though I am a woman, there are some photos that make me want to look away, but I feel that they are facts that should be known. This is a book that I would recommend to all men.
