``City Confessions #2: London'' can be described as an almost recent study of the city of London.
Some of the photos date back more than 20 years, but most were taken on multiple visits over the past 10 years. For some reason, since the mid-1990s, I've been going to London once or twice a year, staying for a few days or weeks, and spending a lot of time walking around shooting with my Leica.
The photographs in this book have been chosen to highlight certain shades of London that I have always found interesting. In the middle of a densely populated metropolis, moments of fatigue, discreet glances and small gestures - groups of people perform rituals to get through the day.

The City Confessions series is a collaboration between photographer Ed Templeton and Tokyo-based publisher Superlab. Each volume presents a photographic story, focusing on a city where Templeton lived for more than one year. The series will be published periodically, and eventually all volumes will be released as a set in a slipcase.
Although the series is documentary in nature, none of the volumes is intended to be an exhaustive record of the city. Rather, it is a visual diary that captures the rhythms of the city, as Templeton walks the streets and describes social structures, architecture, and small objects that interest him through photographs. The editing and order of photographs in each volume has been carefully considered, conveying how Templeton observed cities and the people who lived there. It's like watching a movie shot on location with the famous landmarks of each city in the background.
