This is a collection of drawings by Gakiya Isamu, which he creates as a "daily ritual of prayer to save himself." This volume was compiled in conjunction with his solo exhibition "CHILLDIE III."
■Gakiya Isamu
Born in Okinawa City, Okinawa Prefecture, lives in Tokyo. While working as an illustrator, he continues to be active as an artist, participating in exhibitions at museums and art festivals. Born and raised in Okinawa Prefecture, Gakiya was influenced by the remnants of American culture that remain in Okinawa, and the images he creates evoke the worldview of postwar American horror, science fiction films, and American comics, as well as being influenced by a variety of media. Through the use of , it creates an image of a mixture of various times and places, reflecting the way we live in a mature modern society with a myriad of values and a large amount of information.
