“Green Down Project” has started to collect down products that are no longer used!

As part of our eco-activities, the Green Down Project is an initiative to recycle feathers, which are a limited resource. < B:MING by BEAMS > participates in this project and collects down wear at all Beaming Life Store by BEAMS stores throughout the year.
This time, those who bring in down products eligible for the down collection campaign during the period will receive a 500 yen coupon that can be used on purchases of 5,000 yen (excluding tax) or more.
Target down
Not limited to products handled by BEAMS, but products with a "down rate" of 50% or more in the quality display system. Or products that have a Green Down Project "VIRGIN DOWN" hang tag attached at the time of purchase.
*Products that are dirty or have holes are also eligible, but please refrain from purchasing items that are extremely dirty or wet.
*Collected down cannot be returned.
*Collection is only accepted at the store. We do not accept collections by mail.

What is Green Down Project?
A recycled feather circulation system is created through the understanding and cooperation of not only companies involved in feathers, but also local communities and individual consumers. That is the Green Down Project.
Feather products are collected, refined, and reborn as new Green Down products (recycled down products) by members of the Green Down Project.

We will build a feather cycle system centered on facilities for people with disabilities. We are working to expand the circle of support throughout Japan with initiatives that support the independence, coexistence, and co-working of people with disabilities.
Environmental protection
Feather cycle can protect the environment.
Feathers are made of a protein called hard keratin, and burning 1.0 kg of feathers produces approximately 1.8 kg of carbon dioxide. By recycling the feathers instead of burning them as garbage, carbon can be fixed in the form of feathers for a longer period of time, reducing carbon dioxide emissions.
Stable supply of feathers
Feather cycles produce safe down products.
Unlike Shinmao, Green Down is less susceptible to environmental factors such as meat demand and avian influenza, resulting in a safer product.
