"TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS" on the 4th floor of "BEAMS JAPAN" in Shinjuku will hold an exhibition "This is It" to commemorate the publication of artist and manga artist Yuichi Yokoyama's new work "PLAZA", his first in three years. .

The manga he draws, which are characterized by fast-paced lines, onomatopoeia, and unique characters reminiscent of people from the future, are called "neo-manga," and are attracting attention not only in Japan but all over the world. At this exhibition, we plan to sell original drafts of the new work ``PLAZA'' as well as carefully selected valuable works and materials from the past. In addition, we will also sell collaboration goods with "BEAMS JAPAN" such as T-shirts and hoodies.

Yuichi Yokoyama (Yuichi Yokoyama)

Born in Miyazaki Prefecture in 1967. Artist, illustrator, cartoonist. In 2002, he won the Ax Manga Newcomer Award and the Hanakuma Yusaku Individual Award, and his style is called neo-manga. Many of his books have been translated and published in the United States, European countries, Russia, and other countries, and he has received worldwide acclaim, including his appearance at the J-POP SUMMIT in San Francisco, United States. Since his large-scale solo exhibition at Kawasaki Civic Museum in 2010, he has held solo exhibitions at Pavillion Blanc (Colomiers, France), Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art, Miyazaki Prefectural Museum of Art, etc.
