For the first time, B GALLERY will hold an exhibition by stylist Yasuko Takahashi, also known as “Yakko-san of Omotesando.” After first being licensed as a freelance stylist in Japan in the 1960s, she moved to London in 1971 and shot to fame when she styled Kansai Yamamoto's show and the following year, designed stage costumes for David Bowie during his Ziggy Stardust era. Yasuko Takahashi became. Through her creative relationships with various musicians and actors, she has traveled all over the world and left behind many wonderful works that will go down in history. She continues to be active at the forefront even today.

This exhibition will feature the stage costumes of rock musicians such as Kiyoshiro Imawano, Tomoyasu Hotei, and Tatsuya Nakamura, as well as related materials such as commercials and advertisements that they have been involved in, TV videos in which they themselves appear, and love stories with people they are close friends with. We will exhibit a wide variety of treasures that are full of memories. Additionally, during the exhibition period, we are planning to hold a talk show with special guests every other week. This will be a wonderful opportunity to introduce the footsteps of Seiko Takahashi, who has created an era that transcends countries, as well as BEAMS, which has introduced various fashions and cultures to Japan since the 1970s. Yasuko Takahashi / Stylist

Born in 1941. Grew up in Ibaraki. After graduating from Waseda University's School of Political Science and Economics, she worked as a copywriter at a major advertising agency, but was fascinated by an advertising production company located in Harajuku's Central Apartment and changed jobs to become a stylist. He was known as ``Yakko-san of Omotesando'' because he held large-scale parties where creators gathered every weekend. Became the first person to file a tax return as a freelance stylist. Since the 1970s, he has worked with many rock musicians, including designing costumes for David Bowie. Now in her 70s, she is still active mainly in advertising, and has recently been in charge of styling for Takeshi Kitano, Tsutomu Yamazaki, and Lily Franky. His books include “Yakko-san of Omotesando” (Kawade Shobo) and “Applause for me!” ” (Gentosha) and “Small Dining Table” (Kodansha).
