SPEAKEASY is an eyewear shop with fans all over the country, including Kobe. The owner, Mr. Yamamura, is said to be one of the most knowledgeable people in Japan as a pioneer of French vintage glasses.
This time, for a limited time only, BEAMS HOUSE KOBE will be offering carefully selected eyewear from around the world, centering on the store's specialty French vintage collection. We have picked up items made from celluloid from the 1940s and 1950s, which are of high quality and have a very elegant appearance, as well as metal frame glasses and sunglasses produced in Europe. All of these items are highly rare, and are attractive items with frame textures, colors, and designs that cannot be produced in modern times. SPEAKEASY
SPEAKEASY is a general term for speakeasies of the 1920s during Prohibition in the United States. In 2008, we started selling dead stock vintage glasses/sunglasses only online as "M VINTAGE SUNGLASSES COLLECTION", then changed the name to SPEAKEASY and opened a physical store. Founded in 2012 in Kobe, the owner, who gained experience as a buyer of vintage glasses/sunglasses in New York, develops products from a unique perspective that is not bound by boundaries.
