We support the film production project "DIVOC-12" that supports creators.

BEAMS, which has worked with various entertainment categories since its founding, including fashion and music, sympathizes with the significance of DIVOC-12's activities and will support the project in order to connect creativity to the future. Along with this, we supervised the design of a T-shirt commemorating the release of the movie "DIVOC-12".

The T-shirts we supervised this time will be created completely to order at the support purchase service <Makuake>. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from T-shirt sales will be donated to the Arts and Culture Promotion Fund to support domestic arts and cultural activities.

"DIVOC-12" is a part of the support activities of the "New Coronavirus Sony Global Support Fund," which was established by the Sony Group in April last year to reach out to the three areas of medical care, education, and creativity. This is a film production project that supports creators who are receiving support. The omnibus film "DIVOC-12", consisting of 12 short films by 12 filmmakers, will be released nationwide on Friday, October 1, 2021.

"DIVOC-12" release commemorative T-shirt

The "moving logo" drawn by art director Tetsuya Chihara for this work is boldly printed, and the message "The fun is yet to come" is attached. The movie's catchphrase is, "The fun begins!" While free activities have been restricted, creators have faced themselves, pondered over their next output, and continued to explore and persevere. In "DIVOC-12," their ideas, individuality, and creativity are fully exhibited, and the phrase "The fun is yet to come" expresses our hope that people look forward to encountering these 12 works. Masu. The back of the T-shirt has the autographs of the 12 directors participating in the movie "DIVOC-12".

We are also particular about the body of the T-shirt, which uses Triporous™, a porous carbon material derived from rice husks developed by Sony Group Corporation.

Gorgeous directors and actors gather together. What is the movie “DIVOC-12”?

``DIVOC-12'' is a project that was started under the name of ``wanting to help the Japanese film industry,'' and is filled with ``passion'' to overcome the current difficult situation.
“DIVOC” is the word “COVID” arranged oppositely, and the project name expresses the desire to “work with 12 creators to overturn COVID-19.”
Additionally, each letter of the DIVOC alphabet has a different meaning, respecting the five essential essences of creativity.

D=Diversity
I = Innovation (revolution)
V=Value (new value)
O=Originality
C=Creativity

The 12 films were produced under the direction of Michito Fujii, Shinichiro Ueda, and Yukiko Mishima, and are based on three themes: "awareness of growth," "feeling," and "sharing." Furthermore, the cast will be coveted by movie fans, ranging from those representing the Japanese film industry to the next generation of hopefuls, and we will be recruiting creators and actors to create opportunities for expression. At the same time as we are taking on the challenge of new video production methods during the coronavirus pandemic, taking thorough measures to prevent infection, we are also discovering new talent and creating a foundation that supports the urge of creators to continue creating.

BE AT TOKYO is a Cultural Apartment that creates culture that has not yet been seen in Tokyo. It is a medium for disseminating information, a studio where talent gathers, a laboratory for repeating experiments, and a shop for delivering information. There is no fixed model, and the brand is formed by the people who come together. The chemical reactions that occur while connecting online and in the real world will create the people, things, and culture that will represent Tokyo in the future.
