A satellite exhibition is currently being held where you can see rare vintage furniture from Finn Juhl.

2022.08.10

From Friday, August 5th to Tuesday, September 13th, a satellite exhibition will be held at BEAMS House Marunouchi in response to the Finn Juhl and Danish Chairs exhibition being held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum (Ueno Park). It will be held at This is an opportunity to view rare vintage furniture from Finn Juhl owned by BEAMS.

Finn Juhl is one of Denmark's leading architects and designers who was active during the golden age of Scandinavian furniture in the mid-20th century. With their beautiful forms and unique structures that can be called works of art, they have created numerous masterpieces that set them apart from other Danish designers who were active at the same time.
Of the three chairs on display, two of them, the Chieftain Chair, were designed in 1949 and produced by Nils Vodde, the designer's first manufacturer when he was still alive. It is an original piece, produced in small numbers, and its value has increased tremendously worldwide in recent years.
Additionally, the ``Easy Chair'' and ``FD136'' by France & Son, and the ``Table Bench BO-101'' by Bovirke, which will be exhibited together, also have excellent designs full of originality.

These furniture were previously used at BEAMS stores, but because they are rare and valuable chairs that can be considered museum pieces, they are now on display at BEAMS head office. In conjunction with the "Finn Juhl and Danish Chairs Exhibition" being held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum from July 23, 2022, we have created an opportunity for you to view this valuable vintage furniture in our store.
Please enjoy the wonderful designs at "BEAMS HOUSE Marunouchi" as well as the exhibitions at the museum.
