From December 13, 2022 (Tuesday) to January 18, 2023 (Wednesday), BEAMS JAPAN will hold an event called ``Shima no Pearl'' that focuses on ``pearls'', a specialty of Shima City, Mie Prefecture. It will be held at BEAMS JAPAN (Shinjuku) and BEAMS ONLINE SHOP.
Pearl accessories have gained recognition as a fashion item in recent years. BEAMS JAPAN and Shima City, Mie Prefecture, known as the world's first place to successfully cultivate pearls, a popular item, have teamed up to supervise the development of pearl-related products with six businesses in Shima City.
In order to communicate the charm of the new Shima City, we are creating DIY kits using baroque pearls, which have unique shapes, soaps made from fine mother-of-pearl powder, and accessories made from the wood of rafts used during culture. We offer many local variations.
