MAKOO, a product brand that breathes new life into various discarded products and recreates them, will hold more variations of its products on the 4th floor of "BEAMS JAPAN" from December 6 (Wed) to December 26 (Tue), 2012. During this period, the lineup will focus on recycled leather materials*. In addition to the standard shopper-type bags, shoulder bags, and card cases, new tote bags will also be available. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to see models that are not usually handled in our store all together. A workshop with artist Kazuya Maiki will also be held on December 17 (Sun.).

MAKOO
Even if something is thrown away as garbage, by repurposing it and making it into something new, you can create something that has a different appeal than a new item. However, the construction itself is the same as making something new, so don't be careless just because you're reusing it. In other words, if you use something instead of throwing it away, it's still the same thing if you can't use it properly. We will continue to propose possibilities as a design without being limited by the term eco-boom.

With the aim of reducing carbon dioxide emissions from incineration, we are communicating the possibilities of materials and recycling by incorporating them into various products.
