Naoto Kitamura
Born in Kasuga City, Fukuoka Prefecture, lives in Oita City. He played soccer from a young age, and at the age of 16 he left his parents to study abroad in Brazil, but at the age of 19 he thought about his future and decided to become a painter, thinking, ``I want to pursue a career that I can continue for the rest of my life.'' I started selling my paintings on the street in the underground passage in front of the station. He continued to raise his profile through various events and special events. In 2014, he provided illustrations for the Fuji TV drama ``Hirugao ~Weekdays 3pm Lovers~'', which became a hot topic nationwide. In 2021, his first solo exhibition at an art museum, “Naoto Kitamura Exhibition,” was held at the Oita City Museum of Art, and despite restrictions due to the coronavirus, 28,000 people visited. Since then, he has been active in a wide range of activities, including collaborations with companies, providing illustrations for TV dramas, and exhibitions. Currently, he is focusing on spreading the word on SNS, and has a total number of followers of over 400,000.
