2024.07.05

BEAMS JAPAN will open a permanent store on Saturday, July 20, 2024 within the grounds of Zenkoji Temple, a temple with a history of approximately 1,400 years since its founding, after previously opening a temporary store in 2023.
In addition to the famous products from all over Japan that BEAMS JAPAN normally carries, the store will offer purses, card cases, and Japanese notebooks from Abe Paper Co., Ltd., which use Uchiyamagami paper, a nationally designated traditional craft, as well as Kiso lacquerware chopsticks and toothpicks made by Nishino Urushi Kobo.
Other special items for sale are key chains from Ohashi Tanji Co., Ltd., a long-established company in Iida City that boasts a 70% share of the domestic mizuhiki manufacturing market; rice bale piggy banks, cow figurines, straw decorations, and key chains from Waram Co., Ltd., which is also contracted to make sumo rings for the Japan Sumo Association; and a special Zenkoji package of BEAMS JAPAN 's Special order shichimi pepper, characterized by its citrus scent, from Yawataya Isogoro, a long-established company founded in the Edo period. All of these Special order items are full of the charm of Nagano.

The Beams Japan original items exclusive to "BEAMS JAPAN BEAMS JAPAN Zenkoji" are made in a deep green color, as Nagano Prefecture is surrounded by the Japanese Alps and is rich in greenery. They also feature the "pigeon character" that symbolizes Zenkoji Temple.
