BEAMS CULTUART will be participating in the TOKYO ART BOOK FAIR 2024 from Thursday, November 28th to Sunday, December 1st!

BEAMS BEAMS CULTUART a project that promotes the cultural fields of art and entertainment globally, will participate in the art book festival TOKYO ART BOOK FAIR 2024 (BEAMS CULTUART), which will be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo for four days from Thursday, November 28th to Sunday, December 1st, 2024.

The BEAMS CULTUART booth will feature a collection of art books and related goods sold by BEAMS culture labels, including TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS. As part of a collaboration with artists, a special poster designed by TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS designer Yagifunejiro will be presented on a first-come, first-served basis to visitors to the booth during the event.

Other special content available will include the unveiling of "Baby & Grandpa," a new project by contemporary artists Kagami Ken and Hirayama Masanao, as well as exclusive novelty gifts for purchasers, and "KIRAKIRA PORTRAIT & STICKER" by artist norahi.

Please come to TABF, where approximately 300 publishers, galleries, and artists from Japan and abroad will gather together to enjoy a wide variety of fascinating art books and zines.

A special poster designed and produced as a collaborative project with graphic designer Yagi Fusajiro will be presented on a first-come, first-served basis to those who visit the BEAMS CULTUART booth during the event. The design incorporates the textual elements of "BEAMS CULTUART" and comes in two versions: a random version with a different design on each copy using printing techniques, and an original version printed according to the data submitted. It is a special work that can only be used this time.

About the design/Yagifujiro

There are many different shapes of letters depending on the writing style and font, but the poster we created this time deliberately incorporates bugs and noise in the 3DCG, while still allowing the words "BEAMS CULTUART" to be finely read within the focus range. We also deliberately did not print neatly, but rather adjusted the amount of ink randomly, making each one unique. By combining noise in the 3DCG and noise from the printing press, we aimed to create a design without a fixed image.

Contemporary artists Ken Kagami (@kenkagami) and Masanao Hirayama (sana) will be unveiling their new project "Baby & Grandpa" at TABF. Customers who purchase eligible products at the booth will receive a "Baby & Grandpa Special Photo Frame Card" as a novelty.

In addition, we will be hosting a signing session with Kagami Ken and Hirayama Masanao at the BEAMS CULTUART booth from 1:00pm to 1:45pm on Saturday, November 30th.
