BEAMS has announced the release of the special edition "BEAMS EDITION" model, which supervises the design of six of Nissan's most iconic models.
2024.12.18

This collaborative project was made possible by the resonance between BEAMS which aims to be a driving force behind new lifestyles and living culture through its "Happy Life Solution Communities" initiative, and Nissan's spirit of "doing what others don't do," which it has upheld since its founding.
The first project was the "ROOX BEAMS CUSTOMIZED CONCEPT," a concept car based on the "Roox," which was announced at the "Tokyo Auto Salon 2024" in January 2024 and attracted a lot of BEAMS, with customization supervised by Beams.
In response to customer requests for a commercial version, the second phase of the series will feature a limited number of special edition models of the Nissan Sakura, Days, Luke, Note, Serena, and X-Trail, all wearing the original design supervised by BEAMS. The special edition models will be on sale in limited quantities.
The design for this project was directed by Tadayuki Kato, surf and skate buyer at BEAMS and director of SSZ, and is titled "DENIM TRIBUTE." The biggest feature is the seat cover fabric, which reproduces inside-out denim, reflecting the idea that "there is no two sides to truly good things" in fashion. In addition, the seat surface is decorated with the so-called "red edge" characteristic of vintage denim, and the design of jeans is incorporated into the interior of the vehicle, such as the BEAMS pist tag and the large and small pockets on the seats.
The body colors are set to match the design of each model, and the orange that symbolizes BEAMS and the navy blue that follows on from denim are used as accent colors for the front grille, door mirrors, aluminum wheels, body sides, etc. The BEAMS logo is used throughout the interior and exterior, making these six special cars subtle yet in harmony with fashion.
Please take a look at this project that combines Nissan's cutting-edge technology with BEAMS' total coordination.

Comment from Director Tadayuki Kato
BEAMS pursues coolness in everyday wear. Fashion has its rules, but we have expanded the definition of coolness by breaking them little by little. These special edition cars, which use seat covers that reproduce denim on the inside, are a fusion of Nissan's accumulated know-how and BEAMS 's fashion aesthetic, and we feel that we have created a project that resonates from the essence. The reason we focused on denim is because we felt that denim is an essential item in fashion, and its greatest appeal is that it becomes more comfortable the more you wear it, which is linked to the fact that cars are a part of life. In addition, to give customers the same excitement as they do when choosing clothes, we have reflected many of the designs of jeans on the seats, such as selvedge, patch pockets, and subtle accents such as pistags.
