SOMETHING ABOUT POP UP SHOP to be held at BEAMS RECORDS (Harajuku)
2025.03.04

COM PUMA has been leading the Japanese underground scene for many years, including ADS, Smurf Otokogumi, and Akuma no Numa, through his wide range of activities such as DJ/music selection and record buying. To commemorate the release of the LP version of his album "horizons," released on CD in 2012, he will be holding POP UP SHOP for his label "SOMETHING ABOUT" at BEAMS RECORDS (Harajuku).
The collection will include a reissue of the popular "Compuma meets Haku" T-shirt, released by SOMETHING ABOUT in 2016, featuring artwork by the popular duo Gokita Tomoo and Suzuki Sei, as well as a simple pocket T-shirt embroidered with the new 25-year logo design created by Suzuki Sei, who has worked on many designs for the label, for this pop-up. A variety of collaboration items will also be available, including a cap with the familiar Standard Classic logo and a stabilizer for 7-inch and 12-inch cameras made by Waseda Iron Works.
As for music works, the exhibition will feature not only the LP of "horizons," but also previously released original albums such as "A VIEW" and a number of mix CDs, as well as the "MAGNET" poster with artwork by Tomoo Gokita and Jerry Ukai, all of which are now difficult to obtain. In addition, there will also be a selection of used records from COM PUMA 's personal collection, giving a glimpse into his discerning eye as a record buyer.
Please take this opportunity to experience the world of SOMETHING ABOUT.
