A pop-up shop will be held in Kamakura offering a wide selection of food, apparel and other goods from the popular Chinese restaurant "Kakan"

A pop-up shop of "Kakan," an authentic mapo tofu specialty store in Kamakura that always has a long line, will be held at "BEAMS Life Yokohama" from March 19th (Wed) to April 1st (Tue). The shop will stock a wide range of products that are sold at "Miyageya Kakan," a take-out specialty shop of "Kakan," where you can taste authentic Sichuan-style mapo tofu seasoned with spices such as Japanese pepper and chili pepper.
Currently, "BEAMS Life Yokohama" is selling "Mapo Sauce", "Lu Rou Fan Filling", "Drool-inducing Chicken Sauce", and "Dumpling Black Vinegar Sauce". The sauce set, made with a secret combination of soy sauces, is characterized by its deep flavor, and you can easily enjoy the authentic taste by simply mixing it with silken tofu and adding green onions and Sichuan pepper.
During the pop-up event, in addition to food items such as sauces and dressings, original "Kakan" goods such as T-shirts, stickers, and beer glasses will be on sale for a limited time. Please take a look at the addictive "Kakan" foods and limited edition goods.

This sauce set (2 bags of sauce for 1 person, with Japanese pepper) allows you to easily enjoy Kakan's signature dish, authentic Sichuan-style mapo tofu, simply by mixing it with silken tofu. Made with Kakan's secret sauce combination, this dish has a rich and deep flavor that will have you hooked once you try it.

Taiwanese braised pork rice, also known as Lu Rou Fan, is fragrant with star anise. At Kakan, pork belly and shiitake mushrooms are simmered slowly with a subtle aroma of star anise. It is also a popular menu item among children. In addition, if you put the Lu Rou Fan filling in a frying pan, add a little butter, and mix it with boiled pasta, you will have a Taiwanese-style pasta with ragu sauce! It is also delicious when you put it on Chinese noodles and eat it like Zhajiangmen.

Kakan's delicious chicken sauce, named after the fact that it is "so delicious that it makes your mouth water," is so delicious that it lives up to its name. In addition to simply pouring it over steamed chicken, it is also recommended as a sauce for chilled Chinese noodles and yakisoba, or as a sauce for Mizutaki hot pot.

This is an illustration series by rapper Chinza DOP ENESS, who also appeared in Kakan's recipe video. The rap and video appearance in the recipe video, as well as the production of merchandise, were made possible by a passionate call from the owner of Kakan. The illustrations are by "Izumix", who draws illustrations that make people smile and warm their hearts when they see them.

"2032 KAKAN Paris 1st Store Commemorative T-Shirt" This playful T-shirt was designed in the imagination of an imaginary future, and was handed out as a "novelty" to mark the opening of the first KAKAN Paris store in 2032.

This pocket T-shirt features an illustration of a girl in Chinese clothing, which perfectly matches the image of Kakan with its exquisite looseness. It has a print of Japanese pepper berries peeking out from the front pocket.
