Five years after its initial launch in April 2020, BEAMS JAPAN will release a special collection inspired by ninjas, "Ninja BEAMS JAPAN."
The concept is "What if ninjas existed in modern times?"
BEAMS JAPAN The exhibition will feature functional items that make the most of Japanese technology and are made in the ninja's hometowns of Iga and Koga, as well as items that would be used by the ninja, whose special skills were valued in the Muromachi and Edo periods, if they were alive today.
The diverse lineup of 12 items includes collaboration items with brands that represent Japanese technology, such as functional material T-shirts and absorbent towels made in collaboration with MIZUNO, pouches and belts made using Iga kumihimo cords, Koga Kurokage rice, tabi socks from Marugo, and the iconic FriXion pen from PILOT featuring special graphics.
In addition to the brand logo, some of the collections use images from the nationally popular manga "Ninja Hattori-kun" by Fujiko Fujio A.
