Bristol-based independent online radio station Noods Radio collaborates with BEAMS RECORDS

Since its launch in 2015, Bristol-based online radio station Noods Radio has gained a following among discerning music lovers.
Based in Mickey Zoggs, a local pub and community space, the station broadcasts a variety of programs featuring around 200 resident DJs and artists from around the world. Its activities extend beyond radio, too, and it plays a central role in Bristol's creative scene, providing programs to help young people enter the creative industries.
For this collaboration, Noods Radio and BEAMS RECORDS will release three items featuring graphics that evoke the connection between the music-loving communities of the two cities, under the shared slogan "Always a pleasure never a chore." Additionally, the two will be hosting a four-week radio show featuring young DJs and artists from Bristol and Tokyo, two cities they are both focusing on.

Originally from Hokkaido, he began DJing in 2023. In September 2024, he joined The Hatch as a percussionist and synthesizer, and is based in Tokyo. Morey Cillar is the owner of Bristol record shop Disk Frisk and a long-time resident on Noods Radio's "Dome Scratches From Denmark." Morey loves leftfield and DIY music from around the world, and his music selection is constantly evolving, incorporating electronic sounds.

Born in 2001, he worked as a club staff member in various parts of Tokyo before starting organizing in 2022 and DJing in the summer of 2023. He bases his activities at venues in Tokyo and travels throughout Japan, from Sapporo to Kyushu, and has also performed at numerous outdoor festivals and raves, including the Gampeki Music Festival. He organizes "TAMBO" at MITSUKI and "pureppure" at bonobo, and co-hosts "LUNA LUNE" with imus and Sebun, bringing together a wide range of artists. As a DJ, he blends sounds borderlessly like cat's cradle, creating organic psychedelics with a floating feeling and depth. He explores textures that are both indigenous and innovative, and journeys through his own unique dance music without destination.
