"BEAMS JAPAN DAZAIFU" opens on Saturday, November 29th
2025.11.21

Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine is home to Sugawara no Michizane, widely known as the "god of learning." BEAMS JAPAN will open a permanent store along the approach to the shrine on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
In addition to the famous products from all over Japan that BEAMS JAPAN normally carries, we have prepared store-exclusive products that are arrangements of crafts and local specialties that are unique to BEAMS JAPAN Dazaifu.

MOONSTAR, a shoe manufacturer representing Kurume City, has created these rubber daruma dolls using scrap wood that is generated when making sneakers using the vulcanized manufacturing method.

Okamoto Shoten's Special order pouch and drawstring tote bag are made using Kurume Kasuri, an Important Intangible Cultural Property with a history spanning over 220 years.

Our Workplace, a Type A continuous employment support facility that manufactures sliding doors and other housing materials, was asked to produce wooden tags made from Kyushu cypress to preserve the memories of the trip.

We have commissioned IKEHIKO Corporation, a long-established company that has been manufacturing and selling rush products and tatami mats since 1886, Special order a collection using specially designed "Fukuoka Hanagoza" woven with the Dazaifu plum blossom pattern, as well as aroma goods made from rush grass itself.

The "BEAMS JAPAN" original item, available only at "BEAMS JAPAN Dazaifu," was created in the color "red plum," which is reminiscent of the plum tree that Michizane Sugawara is said to have loved so much. The items are intended as a prayer for success, that your efforts will bear fruit, and that your future will be filled with hope.
Please stop by during your visit to the shrine.
