insane, an essential part of British street culture, and AN ARCHI C ADJUSTMENT, which has had a strong influence across the ocean in the US, have collaborated to create an art book that will be available for pre-sale at BEAMS T Harajuku.
This special double-sided book was self-edited by GED WELLS (insane) and NICK PHILIP (AN ARCHI C ADJUSTMENT). The two are old friends who worked together at RAD MAGAZINE, the UK's first BMX and skateboard magazine, and after many years of interaction, they have teamed up again.
This book condenses the history and spirit of British street culture, showing how it has developed and its lineage that connects it to the present day.
To commemorate the early release, collaboration items with BEAMS T will also be available. The lineup includes three items that reflect the double-sided A-side design in conjunction with the art book: a T-shirt, a long-sleeve T-shirt, and a hoodie.
A reception party will be held on the first day, Friday, December 19th, from 7pm. Ged Wells himself will be visiting Japan, making this a valuable opportunity to interact with him in person.
Come and experience this special moment when the origins of street culture intersect with the present that sheds light on what lies ahead.

Founded in 1984 on the Isle of Wight by artist Ged Wells, Wells is an art-driven streetwear brand. Inspired by skate culture and a DIY spirit, Wells began by producing hand-painted clothing. After relocating to London, Wells partnered with Slam City Skates to fully expand its operations. With its unique character art and storytelling, Wells' influence spread to the fashion and music scenes, and in 1990, it entered the Japanese market through an introduction by Hiroshi Fujiwara. In the 1990s, Wells functioned as a cultural hub, based around a shop and gallery. Today, Wells continues to express itself across the boundaries of art and fashion, espousing a "sculpted identity." In 2024, Wells will hold an anniversary exhibition in Harajuku, Tokyo, to commemorate the brand's 40th anniversary.

AN ARCHI C ADJUSTMENT

Founding the streetwear brand AN ARCHI C ADJUSTMENT in 1986, he began working across the boundaries of counterculture and design, drawing on his background in BMX and skateboarding. After moving to California in 1989, he established a unique graphic style that combined early rave culture, psychedelic thought, and technology, expanding his horizons through contributions to publications such as Wired and ondo 2000, as well as his involvement in film visuals. After numerous international collaborations, including in Tokyo, he founded the Imaginary Foundation in 2002. In recent years, he has announced collaborations with PALACE SKATEBOARDS and NEIGHBORHOOD, and as of 2025, he is continuing his work to return to the origins of counterculture, with the theme of revitalizing AN ARCHI C ADJUSTMENT.
