A big hit at the New Year's sale! Tailor Toyo and BEAMS JAPAN release a special Godzilla-embroidered sukajan jacket

As a special item ahead of the start of its 50th anniversary in spring 2014, BEAMS JAPAN BEAMS JAPAN has commissioned TAILOR TOYO, a Special order that has been tailoring souvenir jackets for over half a century, to release a special sukajan jacket themed around the Godzilla film series.

BEAMS JAPAN is a project that promotes the appeal of Japan both domestically and internationally.
The first project of the new year is a collector's item, completely Special order made from the jacket design to the illustrations, from TAILOR TOYO, a long-established sukajan jacket maker whose predecessor was the pre-war Minato Shoko Shokai.

"Godzilla" is a monumental special effects monster movie, and this item features newly drawn embroidered monsters that have appeared in previous works, just for this jacket.

On the front of the shirt, Godzilla and Mechagodzilla, a representative robot monster, face off just like in the movie, and both sleeves feature the popular three-headed monster King Ghidorah.
The back of the cover is also luxuriously crafted in the style you'd expect from TAILOR TOYO. Beneath the "GODZILLA" title and Mount Fuji, Rodan, also known as the "giant monster of the sky," and Mothra, a giant moth monster with brilliantly colored wings, fly through the sky, while on land, the pollution monster Hedorah awaits Godzilla.

The luxurious embroidery and the body are made of luxurious black velvet. The reversible lining is plain black, making it versatile, and the silhouette has a slightly looser fit, unique to this piece. In addition, by deliberately eliminating padding, it can be worn for a long season.

This masterpiece will be available exclusively at three stores: BEAMS JAPAN (Shinjuku), BEAMS JAPAN Kyoto, and BEAMS JAPAN Shibuya, from Friday, January 2, 2026.
