Calligrapher Takashi Yamamoto’s exhibition “Badges, Towels and Cardboard” will be held for the first time at B GALLERY

2017.08.01

This is the first exhibition of calligrapher Takashi Yamamoto at B GALLERY. In this exhibition, we will exhibit and sell two-dimensional and three-dimensional works using badges, towels, and cardboard as themes.

Since childhood, he has created a dynamic form of expression that goes beyond the typical image of calligraphy by drawing things around him and writing their names on them. He has also made his own improvements to brushes, paper, and ink, establishing his own unique style. Please enjoy the world of Takashi Yamamoto.

“Ever since I became a calligrapher, I have been drawing pictures of things and writing their names inside them. I remember that my teacher got really mad at me when I drew a picture of ``Mad'' and wrote ``Mad'' on it all. At that time, I had no idea why he was angry. But now I understand. With art, you can do anything. ” - Takashi Yamamoto
