To commemorate the release of the movie "Girl Encounter" to be released on June 30, 2018, we will be holding a photo exhibition "That Child and Me, Clues of Memory" at BEAMS JAPAN 4F "TOKYO CULTUART by BEAMS".

The director of this film is 24-year-old Yuka Eda, which depicts the pain and sadness that only girls know, and the story of a girl's fleeting youth, set to music by Natsue Mizumoto. His first feature film has received high praise not only at domestic film awards, but also overseas, including being officially invited to the Hong Kong International Film Festival.
The first half of this exhibition will feature making-of and off-shot photos from the filming of the movie, and the second half will feature new photos taken in Hong Kong of the lead actors, Serina Motora and Moka Houshi, to deepen the appeal of the movie. This is an in-depth exhibition.

In addition, we will be selling limited goods such as special visual pair tickets that can only be obtained in-store, theater pamphlets, T-shirts, and bags. Additionally, on June 29th, the day before the film's release, a talk event will be held on the eve of the film, inviting director Yuka Eda and stars Serina Mottola and Moka Houshi.

"Girl Encounter"

The first feature-length film by 24-year-old film director Yuka Eda.
It won the Audience Award in the feature film category at MOOSICLAB 2017, and at the Hong Kong International Film Festival held this spring, it won in the “I See It My Way” category, along with “River’s Edge” (directed by Isao Yukisada), She was officially invited along with director Akiko Ku, and there was a long line of fans at the venue. The film stars Serina Mottola, an exclusive model for Soen, and Moka Houshi, an actress who won the Miss iD 2016 Grand Prix, who are starring in a movie for the first time.
The story is about two girls and is based on the director's real-life experiences. Miyuri, a girl who lost her voice due to bullying, ends up having her cherished silkworms thrown away by her bullies. The day after he despairs, a girl named "Tsumugi" transfers to his school.

Yuuka Eda

Born in 1994, from Gunma Prefecture. While attending university, ``Sayonara Spica'' (2013) won the Audience Award and Special Jury Award at the 26th Waseda Film Festival. At the same film festival the following year, the film ``Delicious and Rotten.'' ” (2014) was selected for the Audience Award. After that, he worked on the making of the movies ``Over Fence'' and ``Saraba Silence'', and currently works in the film industry, including directing the music video for STU48 debut single ``Darkness'', shooting for fashion magazines as a photographer, and writing columns for magazines.
