``Tokyo Story'': Produced in 1953, Yasujiro Ozu's masterpiece is a timeless masterpiece that depicts the changes in family relationships in postwar Japan through the story of an elderly couple visiting their children living in Tokyo.
"Taste of Autumn Swordfish": Produced in 1962, Yasujiro Ozu's posthumous work. With themes of old age and loneliness, the film depicts in a humorous and detailed way the feelings of an elderly man who has lost his wife and his daughter who has reached marriageable age.
"Red Spider Lily": Produced in 1958, this film depicts a father who is shaken by his daughter's behavior after she has chosen a husband without consulting him. This was Ozu's first color film, and the calm colors of the German Agfacolor, which the director preferred, became known as "Ozu's colors."
"Tokyo Twilight": Produced in 1957, this is a family drama unlike any other Ozu film, featuring a father whose wife has run away, and a daughter searching for her mother who betrayed her father and ran away. The characters all carry emotional scars and an overwhelming sense of loneliness that has no end in sight.
"Born to Be True": A masterpiece from the silent film era, produced in 1932. A father-son drama of laughter and satire, which changes from the humorous depiction of children bossing each other around in the first half to the serious touch of the children scolding their father and sarcasticly denouncing the adult world.
