This original scarf from Beam Japan is made from wool from the Bishu region, an area known for its woolen textiles, in the western Aichi and western Gifu prefectures. The warp and weft are made of 1/16 (16-count single yarn) woolen yarn, which gives the scarf a fluffy, raised texture.

The muffler was produced in collaboration with the local revitalization group "Bishu no Current" and is a special edition with a "Bishu muffler" name tag and the BEAMS JAPAN logo. The muffler, with its subdued and elegant look, is an essential item for winter wear.

What is current in Bishu?
A voluntary production area revitalization circle was formed in 2019 by young employees of textile companies in Bishu, Japan's number one wool producing area. Their activities are wide-ranging, including product development, publicizing the clothing store directly managed by Bishu production area, holding events, and broadcasting radio programs. Current means the flow of water, and represents the desire to improve the textile industry as a whole, which can be compared to the flow of a river.
