This custom-made straw hat was made by Marutaka Hat Factory, a long-established hat manufacturer in Kagawa Special order. It is made of summery straw material and features a flat cylindrical crown and horizontal brim. The wide ribbon adds a classic touch.

A long barley string is carefully sewn by hand by a craftsman. Therefore, it is stretchy and fits comfortably. The retro and classical atmosphere matches not only casual attire but also tidy styles.

Marutaka Hat Manufacturing has been making hats in Kanonji City, Kagawa Prefecture since its establishment in 1963. The company has been manufacturing straw hats since its founding, and later also manufactured cloth hats. Due to the increase in imports from overseas, the number of companies manufacturing hats in Kagawa Prefecture has decreased, and there are only a few companies in Shikoku.However, each and every hat is made by craftsmen with great care.
