The clear tone of brass is pleasant.
These wind chimes are made by Nousaku, a casting manufacturer founded in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture in 1916. These onion-shaped wind chimes are made using the casting and processing techniques of "imono," a method of pouring heated, molten metal into a mold, and then removing it from the mold after it has cooled and solidified. They are finished with silver plating. To bring out the beauty of the material, craftsmen hand-finish each one on a potter's wheel. The simple design makes them perfect not only for displaying by a window, but also as room decor.
