A traditional craft from Ibaraki Prefecture! The soothing, gentle scent of cedar
Seimeido's Suisha cedar incense sticks are made from 100% cedar leaves and have an appealing natural scent.
From autumn to spring, the raw materials, such as cedar branches and leaves, are collected from nearby mountains and left to dry naturally for two to three months.
The raw materials are slowly and carefully ground into powder using a waterwheel powered by underground water from Mount Tsukuba in Ibaraki Prefecture, and then kneaded with hot water to make incense.
The incense sticks, which feature natural colors without any coloring or preservatives, are made from high-quality cedar trees that are over 50 years old, and are all handmade by artisans.
