Yohaku stick incense is a fragrance brand from Nippon Kodo, a company that has been preserving traditional incense-making techniques and the history and culture of fragrance for over 400 years.

The five fragrances, which are based on the theme of the passage of time throughout the day, are natural fragrances made only from natural fragrance ingredients extracted from plants, and do not contain synthetic dyes or colorings. The top note is a blended oil, while the middle and last notes are made from distinctive powdered fragrance ingredients. The fragrances are blended in an optimal balance to bring out the key blended oils.

"Sunrise" is a blend of citrus fruits and Japanese peppermint, evoking the image of a forest shrouded in morning mist. It also contains copal, a natural resin that has been used in sacred rituals as a powdered ingredient, for a spicy balsamic scent.

"Monk Tree" has a refreshing scent of cypress and frankincense. It has a woody green scent, with the unique green feeling of cypress added as a powder ingredient.

"Hayes Valley" is a nostalgic scent that evokes the afternoon sunshine of a rural landscape, made with a blend of camphor and straw. It also contains the refreshingly sweet Palo Santo, giving it an earthy oriental woody scent.
