This elegant sixteen-sided accessory case is from Fujiki Denshiro Shoten, a company established in 1851 that continues to cherish the traditional craft of birch zaiku (birch = wild cherry bark) from Kakunodate, Akita Prefecture. It's crafted from plain, polished wild cherry bark, and its texture is brought out to the fullest. ■Precautions for polished products
Polished birch crafts are not painted so that you can enjoy the natural texture of the material. Therefore, please avoid contact with water as much as possible. If moisture does get on the product, wipe it off immediately with a soft, dry cloth.
