■ Design
Utilizing the techniques of Ishikawa Prefecture's traditional craft, "Yamanaka Lacquerware," the lid of the wooden box is decorated with Mt. Fuji and delicate and beautiful cherry blossoms in maki-e. Otsuji Lacquerware's specialty, "Modern Maki-e," combines traditional techniques with screen printing to create a delicate and colorful look.

■ Special order points
The wooden box itself is made from rare Noto cypress from Ishikawa Prefecture. Based on an existing design, the placement of the maki-e and other details have been carefully specified and custom-made Special order create a unique finish that exudes a modern essence within traditional beauty.

■ Material
Wooden box: Made from Noto Hiba (Ate), a high-quality wood that is a specialty of Ishikawa Prefecture and is also used for the bases of Kagami-mochi (rice cakes). It has a refreshing scent, is highly durable, and has antibacterial properties.
Decoration: Screen makie applied in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, the birthplace of Yamanaka lacquerware.

■Handling and care
- Daily care: Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth.
・Please avoid direct sunlight, extreme dryness, high temperatures and humidity. This may cause the Maki-e to peel off and the wood to warp.
