Product description
A kadomatsu decorated with wood-graining techniques, with the wish for prosperity for generations to come
We have created a "kadomatsu" (New Year's lucky pine decoration) using the traditional "Kimekomi Doll" technique, which has a history of about 300 years. The artisan's delicate handiwork shines through as grooves are carved into the original mold made of paulownia wood, and the fabric is carefully pressed into the doll with a spatula.
