A combination of traditional traditional patterns and traditional Aomori techniques.
A tray depicting the tartan "Black Watch", which is said to be representative of British traditional fashion, using Aomori's traditional Tsugaru lacquerware. It is an item that gives off an interior element and brightens up your kitchen or dining table. Tsugaru lacquerware is also known as ``Togidashi Kairi-nuri'', and is a method of drawing the pattern you want to express with lacquer, and then polishing the lacquer that becomes the base color to bring out the image you have in mind. This is the first attempt in the Tsugaru lacquerware industry to express this ``black watch.''
