Tin is a traditional craft representing Kagoshima Prefecture with a history of over 300 years since the discovery of the tin mine in 1655. It is characterized by the high craftsmanship of the artisans and the beautiful luster that it produces. It is a traditional craft designated by Kagoshima Prefecture that is highly regarded along with Oshima Tsumugi, Satsuma ware, and Satsuma Kiriko. Tin has excellent antibacterial properties, thermal conductivity, and durability, and is resistant to rust and corrosion, and has long been used as sake ware for religious ceremonies.

*Do not store in the freezer.
*Tin is a soft metal and may become dented if subjected to a strong impact.
*Do not use on direct flame, in microwave, dishwasher or dryer.
