■ Wishes put into the Hige-moji
We commissioned lettering expert Kohei Kamihoriuchi to create a powerful expression of "Great Satisfaction," which goes even further than "Satisfaction." Bearded characters are a uniquely Japanese culture, incorporating prayers for business prosperity and good health into letters. By using an odd number of "beards" at the end of the lines, it is also considered auspicious that the message will continue.

■ Design
This teacup features the bold, powerful "Great Satisfaction" character written in "Hige Moji." On the back, the name "Beams Japan" is written in the old kana, in keeping with the traditional mood of the Hige Moji. The witty design adds a stylish accent.
