This amulet-style keychain features the auspicious and powerful characters for "Great Victory," a modern-day revival of the "hige moji" (hige-moji) style of signboards from the Edo period. ■ Wishes put into the Hige-moji
We commissioned lettering expert Kohei Kamihoriuchi to create a powerful expression for "Great Victory," which goes even further than "Victory." Bearded characters are a uniquely Japanese culture, incorporating prayers for business prosperity and good health into letters. By using an odd number of "beards" at the end of the lines, it also carries the auspicious meaning of "continuation."

■ Design
This charm-shaped keychain features the powerful character for "Great Victory" in "Hige Moji." On the back, the characters for "Beams Japan" are written in the old kana, in keeping with the traditional mood of the Hige Moji. The witty design adds a stylish accent.
