■ OSAMU GOODS
OSAMU GOODS was born in 1976. Illustrator Osamu Harada created characters for the merchandise, which were then manufactured and sold by Cozy Honpo Co., Ltd. The words "PRODUCED BY DUSTY MILLER" on the products and packaging from that time refer to DUSTY MILLER, a group company of the Japanese cosmetics manufacturer Cozy Honpo Co., Ltd., which handled the design, production, and sales of OSAMU GOODS. (Osamu Harada found the English name in a botanical encyclopedia and named it accordingly.) The characters, based on the old English nursery rhymes "Mother Goose," come in a total of 12 types: JACK, JILL, DOG, CAT, BETTY, GEORGIE PORGIE, HUMPTY DUMPTY, I SEE THE MOON, DANCE TO YOUR DADDY, LITTLE PIG, COW, and OLD MOTHER GOOSE.
