This denim jacket is inspired by 1940s US coveralls. It's crafted from 9.5oz indigo denim, a reproduction of the denim fabric of a 1950s workwear brand. The warp threads are crafted with short, scattered irregularities, rather than the long, uneven threads typically found in work denim. The weft threads are made with nep yarn, dyed an exquisite ivory color, creating a rich, textured look. The design echoes the simple details of wartime garments, such as two pockets and four buttons. The sleeves, usually the final step, are attached by assembling the body and sleeves first, then applying a wrap stitch from the shoulder to the cuffs, creating a beautiful shoulder line.
